Supervision
- What is Supervision?
-
-
My belief is that…
Supervision is always interpersonal, involves a systems perspective, a process of inquiry and is based on an inter-subjective perspective where both participants are viewed as constructing the relationship
-
Why supervision?
The experience of good supervision can be invaluable to counsellors, psychotherapists, health professionals and ultimately their clients as supervision gives a practitioner a chance to stand back with a more experienced practitioner and reflect
-
Purpose Of Supervision?
The purpose of supervision is to:
- understand, change, resolve or alleviate conditions of suffering in the client
- explore the principles of psychotherapeutic practice
- incorporate an intellectual level of learning
- enhance skills in the process of ongoing professional development
